Dental implants at Medical-Dent

A permanent solution for missing teeth

An implant is an artificial tooth root that is implanted in the jawbone. Once healed, it provides the foundation for a crown, bridge or denture. The effect is permanent and looks like a natural tooth.

Implant treatment at Medical-Dent is carried out using Ankylos and Sky systems - proven European implants with a high survival rate. We design crowns for implants digitally using the CEREC scanner.

Treatment in Polish. We are open 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. We offer 0% instalments.

What does implant treatment look like?

The process from consultation to finished crown takes 4-8 months. Most of this time is the healing period - the office visits themselves are short.

1. Consultation

Oral examination, X-ray/CBCT, treatment plan with quotation. We discuss expectations and options. Consultation £80.

2. implantation

Treatment under local anaesthetic. The implant is inserted into the bone. Lasts approximately 30-60 minutes. Painless.

3. healing

3-6 months of osteointegration - the implant grows into the bone. A temporary tooth is worn during this time.

4. healing screw

Exposing the implant and inserting the healing screw. The gingiva forms around the future crown.

5 Crown

CEREC scan, crown design and cementation. The finished tooth looks and functions like a natural tooth.

Frequently asked questions

The cost depends on the system. The Ankylos implant is from £1,700, the Sky implant from £1,400, plus an abutment (from £300) and a crown (from £500). The full cost of one tooth on an implant starts from around £2,100 and we offer 0% instalments.
What does the price of an implant in the UK depend on? →

The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia and is painless. After the procedure, there may be slight swelling and discomfort for a few days, controlled with pain medication. Most patients return to normal activities the following day.
What does the implantation procedure look like? →

From consultation to finished crown - 4 to 8 months. Most of this time is the healing period (osteointegration), when the implant grows into the bone. The office visits themselves last from a few tens of minutes to an hour.
Step-by-step treatment process →

Most adult patients are eligible for implantation. This is subject to sufficient bone at the implant site and healthy gums. If there is not enough bone, we perform bone reconstruction procedures (from £120) or sinus lifts (from £800). At the consultation we assess the individual situation.
When is an implant not the best solution? →

Both systems are manufactured in Germany. Ankylos (Dentsply Sirona) is a premium implant with a unique conical design - recommended for more difficult cases. Sky (Bredent) is a proven system at a more favourable price. At your consultation, your doctor will advise you which system is better suited to your situation.

The missing tooth can be replaced with a prosthetic bridge (requires the adjacent teeth to be prepared) or a removable denture. An implant is the only solution that does not put stress on the neighbouring teeth and preserves the bone at the site of the lost tooth.
