Implant consultation - what does it look like?

If you have missing teeth or dream of a perfect smile, implants may be the perfect solution for you. However, it's worth finding out more about them before you make a final decision, which is why we recommend making an appointment with an implantologist.

The first meeting is an interview during which The dentist will ask you questions about your health, current and past illnesses or medication you are taking. It is also a good idea to have a record of your dental treatment if you have previously had treatment at another practice.

The next stage of the implantology consultation is an examination of the oral cavity. At this stage, the implantologist may recommend further diagnostics (e.g. an oral scan) or treatment if this is necessary. This may include, for example, bone encasement after bone loss, which you can read more about in our article with the similar title "Bone reconstruction for implants".

Finally, the doctor will present you with possible options, i.e. types of implants and crowns, as well as a full cost estimate. You will also find out how the whole implant process will work.

When is it worth making an appointment for an implant consultation?

Implants are used for both single missing teeth and edentulous arches. Therefore, if you dream of a full, even and white smile this is currently the best and most durable option on the market.

Implants, of all prosthetic restorations, They are most similar in appearance to natural teeth. They are almost indistinguishable. Plus, they don't require adhesives or special cleaning - you take care of your implants like you would your other teeth in your mouth.

We wrote more about implants in our article "Implants in the UK - everything you need to know". You will not only find information on the types of this prosthetic restoration, but also learn about the prices.

How much do you have to pay for implants?

An implant consultation with a full treatment plan at our practice costs £80, during which you will learn all the other costs. These will depend, among other things, on the number and type of implants, but also the treatment before they are inserted. We wrote more about this in the article" What the price of an implant depends on".

Implants start at £1,000. To this must be added a zirconia/all-ceramic crown - £700.

At this point, it is worth noting that although this is a considerable expense it is a one-off. Implants are such a durable prosthetic restoration that they will serve you for a lifetime.

In addition, at our practice you can spread the entire amount into instalments. Importantly, the first 12 months are zero interest, so you only pay back the amount you have spent. You can read more about this in our article "Instalment scheme for dental treatment".
