Visiting a dentist in the UK during the coronavirus pandemic - Polish dental clinic in Birmingham

The coronavirus pandemic has changed a lot in the lives of many people. However, it hasn't changed the fact that teeth still hurt, require treatment and regular visits to the dentist. And what is it like to visit the dentist in the UK these days? Our Polish dental clinic in Birmingham performs all treatments with safety requirements. What is different, however, is the way in which the visit is confirmed and how it is carried out.

Polish dental clinic in Birmingham - making an appointment

Currently, all appointments are made by telephone or online. You can choose the form that is convenient for you: email, our contact form or Facebook message.

If your UK dental appointment is confirmed you will need to pay a £50 deposit. It is important that the deposit is made by 9pm on the day you book a particular appointment. Otherwise your appointment will be forfeited.

During the pandemic, for obvious reasons, we cannot accept as many patients as we did a few months ago. At the same time, we want to help as many people as possible, and the advance payment is an acknowledgement on the part of the patients that they have arrived for their appointment.

To make a payment, all you have to do is click on the link that will be sent to you by SMS. The whole thing takes a few minutes and you will receive a receipt to your email address once the transaction has been completed.

Of course, we understand that there can always be emergencies and you may not be able to make it. Therefore, if you cancel 48 hours before your appointment we will refund your full deposit. And if the appointment does take place the £50 already paid will be deducted from the cost of your treatment.

Before the visit

Before you even have a dental appointment in the UK we will ask you to fill in an online form (a link will be sent to you by text message).

IMPORTANT: It consists of two parts!

Initially, you will need to provide the name of your GP and the address of the GP surgery under which you fall.

Below you will see the first part of the form, where you will have to answer standard questions about illnesses, allergies, pills you are taking, operations you have had, and so on. At the end of this part, all you have to do is provide an electronic signature (you only need a smartphone for this).

When you confirm this part of the form you will automatically be taken to the second part - concerning the coronavirus, your current health status and possible risks.

The whole thing should not take more than a maximum of 10 minutes.

Polish dental clinic in Birmingham - new rules

The health and safety of our patients and staff is of paramount importance to us. Therefore, due to the current situation, visiting a dentist in the UK looks slightly different than before.

Currently, only patients with an appointment can enter the clinic, preferably 5-10 minutes before the appointment. The fewer people in the clinic, the safer it is.

If you have made an appointment for your child, of course you can go in with them. But note only one of the parents or guardians can admit.

When you enter our clinic, we will take your temperature and ask you to disinfect your hands. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, the patient toilet will be closed. We apologise for this inconvenience.

Take care of your teeth during a pandemic

Regardless of your current situation, your teeth still need to be looked after. Therefore, do not give up your planned treatment or regular hygiene. This will not only allow you to avoid future problems and pain, but will also save you money.

Currently, our Polish dental clinic in Birmingham provides a full range of dental treatments. You will find detailed information about our services here.

If you have started treatment in Poland and are unable to continue, please also contact us. You can send us the treatment plan you received from your current dentist and we will review it with you and assess with you whether it would be cheaper and more convenient to treat your teeth in the UK.

You can read more about this in our article "A dental treatment plan, i.e. a cost estimate for your teeth".

Important note - we do not undertake continuing orthodontic treatment at our practice.

If you have additional questions, write to us - We will be happy to answer all of them.
